I'm pretty sure all the 10 series files are good to go on any of the 10 models, but it's been a while for me and my memory just sucks! Once you hit the select after doing the highlighting, you'll see the files next window all change for your particular amp. If you don't hit the select button after doing the proper highlighting, then you aren't on the correct files, and they won't work in the THR Editor. To get the DL's to work properly I needed to first highlight only the THR10 (V2), or the 10C, or the 10X and 'then hitting the select button for one of each at a time, to get the 'proper' files to show up below the selection window, otherwise you are not DL'ing the proper files for your amp.

all the presets from their web page loaded properly for me, once I understood how to use the site correctly, to get to the proper files. The pre-packed files may be for more than just the 10 series. The presets I used I got from their web site. They also have a 100 series that goes for about $800, and that uses the same type of "circuity modeling" (as opposed to amp modeling) that really looks interesting too.Ĭlick to expand. All my library files are under C:\Program Files (x86)\Yamaha\YAMAHA THR Editor Toneshare is a community for guitarists & bassists to share & find tones, patches & presets for digital amplifiers & pedal boards. These amps are great little amps, with lots of features, great sound, 100% portable, and I'm sure you will really dig it!

I finally I got it done, but haven't used it yet.

I don't remember exactly what the deal was, but IIRC I think it was getting the complicated protection licensing routine for CUBASE to actually let me install it.

The software it came bundled with was a bit of a hassle to get installed. I paid just under $250 each for them, and felt that was a good price $50 off normal retail, so IMHO: you are getting a 'great' deal!! I use the standard version the most, but the blues version with my Lucile and some Gretsch guitars sounds great, and has some really nice genre specific features too. The pedals provide for what would otherwise be a whole lot of presets. One is the same as yours (the standard model) and one is a 10C (the black colored, blues version). It's all in a grab-and-go bag, very easy to take along.Ī HOTONE BLUES pedal. The little bugger sounds just awesome and is plenty loud enough for that use. THR-10C patches: Hilarious jokes barely save a Toy Story 4 lacking in stakes: YDP 265 Bytes Downloaded 727 times. I just set it all up on the little side table and it's perfect for playing while sitting on either a chair or a bed. I put the amp in the gig bag, put the gig bag in the back pack along with four pedals, and I have a small light weight fold-up camping side-table. I have a nice mid-sized nylon backpack, and the Yamaha amp gig bag. I got it expressly for travel and playing in motel rooms or the guest room when visiting relatives. I'm going to use this for a "travel" amp and it should serve that purpose extremely well. Patches Yamaha Thr10 I have seen several people with Yamaha THR10 confirming presets for C and X model work on their vanilla THR10 and I wonder if that still work with firmware version 1.0.4 and 2.0 on the THR10 17 rows Guitar effect patches for the Yamaha THR-II. I do wish it had about twice as many user presets instead of just 5.

turn it off and back on and it's fine.Īfter playing with the patch library in the THR Editor, I'm wondering if there is some public repository or forum where people have uploaded their favorite home made patches?

The bass has to be EQ'd way down or it's too much.Ī couple questions for those that have them.ĭoes yours auto shut off if you crank it too hard when on battery power? I have a brand new set of batteries in it, and with some settings, it trips off at times - as if the batteries can't supply enough instantaneous peak current and it senses it as a weak or dead battery condition. It's got a quirk or two, but overall a great little piece of gear. Initial impressions after a few hours of messing with it are very positive. If the original THR10 was a one size fits all model the new Yamaha THR10C Guitar amp gives your a more specific set of tones to suit your playing. After pondering it for a long time, I finally found a pretty good deal on one of these used and bought it.
